Indian citizen arrested with air pistol and bullets from Kankarvitta

An Indian citizen has been arrested with a banned weapon, an air pistol and a metal bullet for that weapon, from the eastern border region of Kankarvitta.

A joint team of the Armed Police and the Nepal Police arrested an Indian citizen with weapons while checking the premises of the Mechi Customs Office at around 9 o'clock this morning. According to the District Police Office Jhapa, the arrested person is 25-year-old Pratik Aggarwal from Siliguri, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.

Aggarwal said WB 74 AJ 0400 no. Who was driving a scooter. While checking the trunk of the scooter, one air pistol and 18 metal bullets used in the same pistol were found in a plastic bag, the police said.

Jhapa Police Spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka informed that the four mobile phones found with him were seized and the necessary investigation was started. According to him, it is not clear for what purpose and from where the weapon was brought.
