The concerned bodies of Sunsari and Udaipur have prepared an inter-district strategic response plan to deal with the disaster that may be caused by the Saptakoshi river.
In view of the damage that can be caused in various areas of Sunsari and Udaipur, which have a high risk of flooding and inundation from the Saptakoshi River, the Bhagwati Dal Gana of Itahari of the Nepal Army has prepared a strategic plan by organizing an exercise program between the security officers of both districts and the local people's representatives on Friday.
Earlier, Gana, who had started preparations for disaster management in coordination with local levels, gathered the concerned bodies including Sunsari and Udaipur security officers, public representatives, Red Cross Society and formulated a strategic plan for disaster response.
After this year's monsoon rains are more than average, for the possible disaster management in Sunsari and Udaipur from the Saptakoshi river, countermeasures have been prepared after discussions between the three security agencies, informed Rajan Bhuju, the Ganpati chief of the Bhagwati Dal Gana Sunsari of the Nepali Army . Security officials and public representatives of both districts said that all mechanisms are ready for immediate action, emergency information management, relief and rescue within 24 hours of the disaster. program, officials of the Nepali Army and the Red Cross informed that for the time being, food, tripal, clothing, transportation, medicine and other materials are being prepared for 100 to 150 people.
Similarly, it has been informed that the ambulance, pickup van, rubber boat and other materials required for rescue have been kept in readiness. The Saptakosi river has been causing great damage to the areas of Sunsari and Udaipur every year. Chatra Bridge located on the Saptakoshi river is facing landslides on the north side and people around are suffering due to erosion and flooding in the area on the south side.
