District Administration Office Khotang has called on the people living around the Sunkoshi shore to be alert.
Due to the possibility of heavy rains in the Tibet region of China, there is a risk of flooding in the Sunkosi area as well.
District Administration Office Khotang Assistant Chief District Officer Sagar Shah has issued a notice on Friday and asked to be vigilant till Saturday.
"Due to the possibility of excessive rainfall in the Tibet region of China, it is requested to exercise caution in view of the possibility of flooding in the vicinity of the Sunkoshi coast connected to the Khotang district" - the notice says.
