Dharan sub-metropolitan city has been tense for 2 days due to the dispute between Mayor Harak Sampang and Deputy Mayor Aindra Bikram Begha. The sub-metropolis became tense for two days when there was a dispute over the forced payment of work done by Shramdan in the multilingual school in Ward 16 and the sub-metropolis' refusal to hand over the keys to the dozer, excavator, etc. of the sub-metropolis.

After the laborers reached the deputy mayor's office to ask for the keys, the dispute took the form of tension. 

There was a dispute between Deputy Mayor Begha in Mayor Sampang's office before the Budget and Ceiling Determining Committee meeting which was called at 2 pm on Monday. After the dispute came out, the mayor's supporters who were donating labor at Narayanapath gathered in the sub-metropolitan office complex, and the situation became more uncomfortable when the Maoist leaders came face to face.

The West Cold Prevention Committee demanded payment of 741,000 from the municipality for the work of the multilingual school. After demanding payment of 741,000 rupees from the municipality for donating labor worth 17,40,294 rupees, Deputy Mayor Begha stopped the payment saying that he would not support the work that is against the law. The controversy took a turn for the worse after Deputy Mayor Begha took the city's tipper and dozer, saying that Mayor Sampang had used the city's tipper and dozer in Shramdan in Dharan-10.

The controversy that has been growing since Monday has intensified on Tuesday. The sub-metropolis became tense when there was a clash between laborers who surrounded the deputy mayor's office demanding keys and workers of the Maoist party near the deputy mayor Begha. Deputy Mayor Begha told Mayor Sampang that the keys to the municipal dozers and excavators and the workers in the office store are also available. As the mayor also had the key, the laborers had a dig at Deputy Mayor Begha after he said that he did not have it.
