A wild elephant has been found dead near the farm near the railway line of Warahkshetra municipality-2 of Sunsari. The local police office, Mahendranagar, said that the male elephant may have died last night.
It is reported that the dead body of the elephant was found this morning with serious injuries on its trunk. The team of local police office and division forest office reached the spot and started investigation. Recently, the conflict between humans and elephants has increased in the eastern Terai. Sometimes humans kill elephants and elephants also kill humans.
