A post-mortem house has been constructed and put into operation in Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu.
A building was constructed near Thulung Dudhkoshi Hospital in Ward No. 6 Mukli and the body was brought to the post-mortem house.
Previously, for the post-mortem of those who lost their lives in various incidents, they had to spend thousands of money to bring the dead bodies to the district hospital, but now there is a relief, Village Chairman Asim Rai said while inaugurating the building on Monday. President Rai said that by constructing a building with the own investment of the rural municipality, it has been made easy for Sotang, Mahakulung and Thulung Dudhkoshi rural municipalities of Sotang, Soluk to operate the postmortem house legally. "The situation where one dead body is sent to Phaplu for post-mortem has ended," President Rai said, "This post-mortem house will be convenient not only for the 3 municipalities of Solu but also for the citizens of Ainselukhark in Khotang."
Principal Administrative Officer Prashannadeep Rai informed that the construction of the building was completed at a cost of 11 lakh rupees. According to the municipality, the doctors of Thulung Dudhkoshi Hospital will work for the post-mortem.
