A wild elephant was found dead near Tiring in Mechinagar-1 of Jhapa. According to the Division Forest Office, Jhapa, the female elephant, which has not reached full maturity, was found dead in the corn field.
The head of the forest office, Bharat Babu Shrestha, said that the wild elephant was found dead and the team of the division forest office had reached the spot. According to him, it is estimated that the elephant may have died today or yesterday.
The elephant was found dead. Our team has arrived. I am also going to the spot," he said. "The reason for the elephant's death has not been revealed. We have called a team from the National Nature Conservation Fund (NTNC) for the post-mortem. The cause of death will be known after the necessary investigation.
This incident has also been confirmed by the district police. According to the district police, the elephant was found dead at around 9 o'clock this morning. The police said that the scene was secured.
