The Koshi state government has prepared to bring a budget in excess of resources for the next financial year 2082/83.

According to Chief Minister Hikmat Karki, currently, the province has only 33 billion rupees of guaranteed resources. However, the government is about to present a budget worth about 37 billion rupees.

Chief Minister Karki mentioned that the federal government has withheld some resources and some resource-related rights have not yet been transferred.

According to him, the budget size of Koshi province is decreasing compared to previous years. Karki said that although a budget equal to 46 billion rupees was brought in the financial year 2075/076, now it has to be limited to 36/37 billion.

Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Ram Bahadur Rana will present the budget in the state assembly meeting at 3 pm.
