Police stations have been established at two locations in Panchthar. A police station has been established at Bhulke in Kummayak Rural Municipality-5 Syabrumba and Lungrupa in Fidim Municipality-14. Out of the outposts established, Bhulke belongs to Tamor Corridor.
Locals had demanded the establishment of a police station, saying that there would be a risk of accidents and criminal activities along with the tarmac of the road in the Tamor Corridor, which connects the Terai to the mountains through the mountains. Panchthar chief district officer Arun Pokharel inaugurated the police station.
Mitraprasad Kafle, Mayor of Fidim Municipality, of the police station established in Lungrupa did the same.
The police station was not established in Fidim Municipality-14 under the former Lungrupa Village Development Committee. Panchthar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kaushal Kumar Budhathoki said that the locals have been demanding the establishment of a police station several times saying that they have not been able to ensure peace and security.
According to District Police Office Panchthar, 6 policemen have been assigned to both police stations under the leadership of Asai.
