A teenager who went missing in the Tamor River while going for a swim has been found dead. 16-year-old Shishir Rai Tamor of Phalelung rural municipality-7 of Panchthar, living in Phidim Bazar, was found dead on the banks of the Tamor river in Puchar of Chhathar rural municipality of Tehrathum.

He went missing on June 24 while swimming in the Tamor river on the border of Panchthar and Tehrathum. District Police Office Chief (DSP) Kaushal Kumar Budhathoki informed that his body was found on Wednesday evening by security personnel and locals who were engaged in search operations since the same day.

Budhathoki also informed that his body was brought from District Police Office Vasantpur to District Hospital Panchthar on Wednesday night after the police team completed the necessary procedures.
