2 days holiday has been given to the schools of Kamal Rural Municipality of Jhapa due to extreme heat. Village Chairman Hukumsingh Rai informed that two days were taken off due to problems in studying due to heat.

According to Chairman Rai, it has been requested to suspend teaching in community and institutional schools within the municipality for two days on Wednesday and Thursday.

It is said that the currently given leave will be matched with the annual leave. In the last few days, extreme heat has affected the life of the people in the eastern districts including Jhapa. The heat has affected the movement and routine work of common people. The movement of people in markets, transport and government offices is less.
