The bodies of 11-year-old Ganga Sherpa and 37-year-old Kamala Sherpa, who had been missing since the 19th, were found in the Tamor river while drinking on May 22. Ganga belongs to Fungling Municipality-3 Tarbari and Kamala Atharai belongs to Triveni 2 Phulbari.

Ganga's dead body was found near Navakhola in Chhathar rural municipality-2 Khirkhire of Tehrithum district and in Hillihang rural municipality-2 Dudhepani of Panchthar in Kamala, police said. The police and the family believe that both of them ran away from Taplejung.

Ganga was drowned while drinking water and Kamala disappeared from home. Police Inspector and Information Officer of District Police Office Taplejung Vivek Basnet informed that it was found while continuously searching for Ganges on the river bank after seeing that it had been swept away by the river.

Basnet said that both bodies will be handed over to the family after completing the necessary legal procedures.
