One farmer from each municipality of the district has been awarded. Nine farmers of the district, which has nine local levels, were awarded by Krishi Gyan Kendra. According to Krishi Gyan Kendra, an excellent farmer honor program was organized on the occasion of World Food Hygiene Day.

According to Bimala Pokharel, the head of the knowledge center, the award was given according to the recommendations of the relevant local level and the decision of the best farmer selection committee. Among those awarded are Dumbar Bahadur Basnet of Mikwakhola Rural Municipality, Chhatra Bahadur Limbu of Maiwakhola, Indra Bahadur Limbu of Sidingwa, Vijay Prakash Chongwang of Meringden, Sankara Narayan Shrestha of Atharai Tribeni, Santosh Khimding of Pathibhara Yangwarak, Bhakta Bahadur Karki of Phattanglung, Chhatraman Kunwar of Sirijanga. And Post Bahadur Karki of Fungling municipality.

Deputy Chief of District Coordination Committee Krishna Prasad Linkhim and Chief of Agriculture Knowledge Center Pokharel   Cash, certificates and dosalla were provided to the farmers. Since 2019, World Food Hygiene Day has been celebrated every year on June 7. This year's slogan was 'Food Hygiene, Inevitability of Science'.
