In Dhankuta, the police destroyed 1000 kg of marijuana along with the seized drugs on Saturday.
According to the police, 999 kg of 108 grams of marijuana, 891 capsules of tramadol and 891 tablets of diclomine hydrochloride were destroyed. Representatives of Dhankuta District Court and District Administration Office, journalists and local citizens were destroyed by the Crime Investigation Branch of District Police Office in Rohwar.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal said that a certain amount prescribed by the law will be allocated to be sent to the laboratory for testing and the rest will be destroyed according to the permission of the court. Khanal informed that those narcotics were destroyed on the bank of Tamor river in Dhankuta Municipality-9 Mulghat.
