The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case against 9 people including the then District Education Officer Gyanmani Nepal of District Education Office Khotang. A case was filed on Friday on the allegation of irregularities in the construction of Krishna Mavi's building in Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality-7 Temma.

A charge sheet has been filed in the special court on the charge of irregularity of 2.5 million 50 thousand rupees in the said school building, according to Rajendra Kumar Paudel, spokesperson of the authority. In the statement, it is mentioned that a case has been filed against then Education Officer Nepal, then Engineer Bridhan Yadav of District Education Office Khotang, Sub-Engineer Shivraj Bhattarai, Accounts Officer Bhuwan Prasad Acharya and Accountant Suresh Kumar Shrestha.

Similarly, a case has been filed against Khemraj Magar, the then headmaster of Krishna Mavi, Tikaram Rai who was the chairman of the school management committee for building construction, Harinarayan Rai and Jaiprasad Rai who built the building. A sum of Rs. 25 lakh 50 thousand has been claimed against the defendants.
