3 years have passed since the construction of a 60-meter long concrete bridge over the Barun River in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 started. The construction of the bridge has also been done. Small vehicles and tractors reach 142 km from Khandbari to Chamthang village during winter. During the rainy season, the Barun river is flooded and the means of transport cannot run. Chairman of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality, Wang Cheder Lama, said that the Hryumpipe, which was kept for 5 months in the Barun River to run the means of transport, is also going to be swept away by the flood.
Bridge North South Koshi Road Plan had contracted for the construction of concrete bridge on 2nd Chait 2078. When the deadline for the construction of the bridge expired in March of last year, only the work was done to raise grass on both sides. After that, when the planning office extended the deadline until December 19, 2081, it did not make much progress. After that, the construction company built the bridge when the deadline was extended until mid-June.
Chairman Lama said that the construction businessmen absconded when the slopes were being built. "They did not get in touch when I contacted them over and over again, the hump pipe installed in Barun has leaked, the problem has been added to the people of Bhot Khola. If the slope was made 80 meters, the vehicle would have easily passed through the bridge,' he said, ``The contractor has lost contact in the middle of Barkha.

However, during the rainy season, only 82 km from Khandbari, the road hardly runs.

He said that the lifestyle of the people of that area has not changed due to lack of roads and bridges. The suspension bridge above Barun is also old and dilapidated. Chiruk Bhote, a resident of Barun, says that when the bridge is stuck, there is more problem in rainy season than in winter.

He said that if the construction of the bridge in Barun is fast, it will be very easy for the residents to come and go to the headquarter and have equal transportation to the place where the track is opened. He said that despite discussions with the construction company and the North South Koshi road plan, the bridge was not constructed. According to the contract agreement, work should not be done only by delaying the work and extending the deadline. He said that companies that do not work within the specified time should be punished and move on.
