Distribution of agricultural equipment worth 10 million by Ratuwamai municipality

Ratuwamai Municipality of Morang has distributed agricultural equipment worth 10 million rupees with the aim of promoting the mechanization and modernization of agriculture.

During a ceremony held at Ratuwamai-7 on Wednesday, the municipality distributed agricultural equipment with 50 percent subsidy and 50 percent participation of farmers. Through the program, various agricultural tools have been distributed to 160 farmer groups and agricultural firms in 10 wards of the municipality. The distributed equipment includes 150 chopper machines, 20 spray tanks, 112 corn planting machines and 165 corn planting machines.

Mayor Nageshwar Prasad Singh and Chief Administrative Officer Dambur Prasad Baral handed over the equipment. According to City Chief Singh, in the program run under 'Agricultural Mechanization Promotion', the aim is to increase production by transforming agriculture into a commercial one as most of the citizens of Ratuwamai are based on agriculture. "Through this kind of cooperation, mechanization in agriculture will expand and farmers will have easy access to modern technology," said Mayor Singh.

It is expected that the equipment distributed by the municipality will bring ease in agriculture, reduce labor costs and help increase production.
