The rain that fell on Saturday night washed away the road in Sankhuwasabha's Bhotkhola-3 Hatia and Hungung under the Koshi Highway. Village chairman Wang Cheder Lama said that about 50 meters of unpaved road was washed away.

'From here, 160 households turned on electricity,' he said, 'Now the village is in darkness. He said that the flood has swept away the source of the 120 KW Hungung hydropower project. According to him, 250 families were using the electricity produced here.
