In the current fiscal year, Fidim Municipality has purchased agricultural tools and equipment worth 36 million rupees to help in agricultural work.

Mayor Mitra Prasad Kafle informed that these equipments, which were purchased by inviting bids through electronic means, will be distributed to the citizens of all 14 wards of the municipality on the basis of demand.

According to Kafle, the municipality has purchased 181 mini tillers, 160 chaff cutters, 544 tunnels, 65 plastic water ponds, 185 rice mills, 11 corn threshing machines, 2 sugarcane mills, 40 sprayers, insect nets for 900 square meters, 53 cow mats, 20 refrigerators, 140 milk cans, 4 milk analyzers and 20 500 liter capacity water tanks. has been done

Out of which there is a provision of 50 percent participation of farmers in mini tillers, plastic tunnels, combined mills, chaff cutters and veterinary equipment. Kafle says that so many materials have been purchased with the aim of facilitating the routine of farmers who are doing agricultural work.  'After evaluating the demand received at the ward office, the materials are being distributed on the recommendation of the concerned ward, the materials have been purchased based on local needs and farmers' demands,' said Kafle.

It was informed in the press conference that some of the purchased materials were purchased from the approved budget of the ward and that they are being distributed in the respective ward. By inviting bids through the electronic procurement system, a large amount of money has been saved due to the fact that the price of the material has decreased from the technical cost estimate.

In the current financial year, the estimated cost of purchasing 16 types of materials was 662 million 94 thousand 583 rupees, while the contract was awarded for 4 million 62 million 85 thousand 516 rupees.
