80 percent of Sankhuwasabha houses have electricity

According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, electricity has reached 80 percent of households in Sankhuwa Sabha.

Today in Khandbari, the Regional Office of the Electricity Authority, Biratnagar, discussed with the stakeholders, the regional head of the Authority, Rajiv Singh, said that electricity will be supplied to the remaining 20 percent of the households soon. 

Nepal Electricity Authority Sankhuwasabha has also informed that it has collected 5.9 million arrears from 542 consumers who did not pay the tariff.

Satrudhan Yadav, the head of Khandbari distribution center, said that the Authority has collected 5.9 million in arrears and 6 million more from blacklisted customers in the past 10 months after the power was cut off to customers who did not pay electricity tariff in the area of ​​Khandbari and Chainpur market area. 

In Sankhuwasabha, last year, the authority collected 24 million 19 million for fees. There are more than 28 thousand 732 customers in Sankhuwasabha of the authority.
