Top three young 'Skills Icons' declared

With the aim of instilling respect for labor in the youth, the best three have been declared as Skills Icons from the Skills Festival-2082 organized in Biratnagar.

Chandradev Yadav, trainee of Manmohan Smriti Polytechnic for automobile, Vivas Koirala of Nar Bahadur Karmacharya polytechnic for hotel management and Sonam Nemwang of Pushpa Dhirendra Smriti Institute for information technology (IT). 

A competition was held among youth from the fields of hotel management, automobile and information technology (IT) for the Industrial Trainee Skills Icon. Among the 16 contestants selected from seven institutions that provide technical vocational education and training in Koshi province, three trainees were the best. 

In coordination with the Ministry of Social Development of Koshi Province, industry organization Morang and Insure Project jointly organized the skill festival, and live training on labor and employment, counseling and success stories of various professionals were conducted, said Chudamani Bhattarai, director general of industry organization Morang.  Ghanshyam Limbu of Insure Project said that the

program has inspired young people to learn skills.

Ajip Chapagain, the planner of Skills Icon, said that there is a plan to make this program more sophisticated and effective in the coming years.
