Locals have alleged that during the blackening of 14.5 kilometers of roads in Udaipur's Triyuga municipality, poor quality work was done. Locals have alleged that poor materials have been used in the construction of the road being constructed in the Gaighat market area with the help of the World Bank.

Gaighat Town Planning Road, City Hall Simaltar Road, Babarani DM Gate Road, PG Chowk-Phulchok-Botetol, Triyuga Corridor Road, Karamagachi Road via Shivalaya Toll, Sakela Toll Road via Pragathi Toll, Bisanpur Triyuga Corridor Road from Sagarmatha Agricultural Market West to Bisanpur Triyuga Corridor Road is being upgraded and substandard work is being done using inferior materials. Ward President Sumant Koirala said . 

"We are putting a knife in the eyes of the people's representatives and the contractor is constructing the road using inferior materials, all conscious citizens need to raise their voice," he said. He said that even though the municipality did not make any concessions to pay the amount to the builders, the work that should be completed by the 18th of June is going on at a slow pace.

"Before paving the road, they are going to use rollers only on the 'base and sub-base' soil, and they are going to put asphalt, doing this is a poor quality work, the municipality should monitor and take action against the contractor company," said Sudip Dahal, general secretary of Construction Business Federation Udaipur . According to him, instead of blacking, sub-base grading should be done, the amount of gravel and gravel dust should be adjusted and the roller should be allowed to dry for a few days, and only then the dust and gravel should be removed and the road should be blackened. But he said that everyone needs to be alerted because they are going to lay the road without meeting any standard of black pavement.

The World Bank through the Ministry of Urban Development under the 'Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement Program' (UGIIP) has signed an agreement with Ashirwad Ashish JV for 66 million 11 lakh 140 rupees for 15 months for the black paving of 6 roads in wards No. 10, 11, 12 and 13 of Triyuga Municipality . On 27th Baisakh, 2081, Triyuga Municipality Mayor Basant Basnet laid the foundation stone of the road, and the locals have been protesting on social media saying that the construction of the road is slow and of poor quality. 

Pipalchowk of Gaighat Bazar and surrounding roads, old bus park line, old petrol pump line, electricity authority line are currently undergoing construction and road works. According to the standards of road construction, the road should be made with soil, gravel, sand and gravel. Locals say that this is not the case.

Basant Basnet, mayor of Triyuga municipality, said that the comments coming on social media have drawn his attention and said that soon monitoring will be done with the municipality and technical team and if it is wrong, action will be taken. "Many people on social media are saying that the town planning work is of poor quality, we are monitoring to understand the truth, and we will take action if found guilty," he said.
