The opposition attacked the government in the budget session of Koshi province

In the budget session of Koshi province, the leader of the main opposition party, Maoist Parliamentary Party, Indravahadur Angbo, sharply criticized the provincial government and accused them of 'looting public finances'.

On the seventh and first day of the budget session starting from Sunday, the opposition submitted strongly. Stating that the provincial government has failed in policy, planning and implementation in three issues, Maoist leader Angbo commented that it is sad that the provincial government has spent only 38 percent of capital, 55 percent of current and 40.2 percent of total expenditure. He added, 'This is how the state of the government is known.'

Last year's floods and landslides caused the most damage in Koshi province after Bagmati. In which the most damage was done in Panchthar.

The government allocated a budget of 400 million for the damage caused in the disaster . However, it took 8 months to pass that budget. "After 8 months, 400 million rupees were sent for the disaster victims," Angbo said.

2 crore 84 lakh rupees were sent to Panchthar which suffered more damage. 5 crore 51 lakhs have been sent for 73 schemes in Khotang, which suffered less damage.

Physical infrastructure minister Bhupendra Rai accused him of sending more budget to his district. "This is a blatant robbery of the public finances," Angbo said, "The Chief Minister talks about good governance, but the money has been sent to the wrong place with MPs and employees."

CPN (Unified Socialist) parliamentary party leader Rajendra Kumar Rai questioned the government's policy-making capacity. "Even after three years have passed, the legitimacy of the government is in jeopardy due to the inability to make regulations," he said. It cannot be said that success has been achieved if the government lasts for a long time.'

Rai said that the role of the Planning Commission in the planning selection process is not effective and questioned the government's intention of giving preference to small and piecemeal plans by canceling public and multi-year plans. "With the multi-year plan, the government is telling the ant whose foot it is. Afraid,' he sarcastically said, 'What will the government do if it takes a year to ensure a one-year plan?'

Government spokesperson and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Revathiraman Bhandari tabled the 'Ordinance 2082 to amend some provincial laws' introduced by the government in the provincial assembly. This Ordinance has been brought by the provincial government using Article 202 of the Constitution, in which necessary amendments have been proposed in some of the current legal provisions.

UML  Deputy leader of the parliamentary party Dilkumar Menyangbo,  Leader of Congress Parliamentary Party Uddhav Thapa, Leader of Parliamentary Party of RPP Bhaktiprasad Sitaula, Leader of Janata Samajwadi Parliamentary Party Nirmala Limbu and others also spoke.
