The seventh session of the Koshi State Assembly and the presentation of the budget for the financial year 2082/83 is starting from Sunday.
According to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, the first meeting of the session will be held today at 2 pm.
According to Gautam Raj Amatya, Acting Secretary of the Secretariat, in the initial meeting, the meeting invitation letters received from the Office of the Provincial Head will be read out. As part of this formal process, the meeting papers called by the provincial chief according to Article 183 of the Constitution will be presented in the assembly.
After that, there is a program to be tabled in the provincial assembly, 'Ordinance 2082 to amend some provincial laws' introduced by the government. This Ordinance has been brought by the provincial government using Article 202 of the Constitution, in which necessary amendments have been proposed to some of the current legal arrangements.
In addition, a program has been scheduled for the opinions of the leaders of various political parties represented in the provincial assembly in the first meeting of the seventh session. There is a possibility that there will be preliminary comments from the major parties about the upcoming policies, programs and budget priorities of the government.
The seventh session is expected to be especially important for discussing and passing the agenda of policies and programs and budget for the financial year 2082/83.
