28 kg of ganja was seized from a person who was going to Dharan from Saptingtar on the Koshi Lokmarg in Dhankuta Municipality-9 Moolghat.

The police said that the marijuana was recovered from 51-year-old Raju Rai of Dhankuta-9 who was on a walk on Thursday afternoon.

While the vehicle was waiting at the Tamor river bridge, the patrol team deployed from Mulghat police station found the mentioned quantity of marijuana, said DSP Omprakash Khanal, the spokesperson of the district police. Khanal said Rai was arrested with marijuana and further investigation is underway.
