Tourists returning from Kanchanjunga Himal have been stopped due to the landslide in Ekmana Bhanjyang of Sirijunga Rural Municipality-7 Khewang.

The road was blocked by a landslide on Tuesday morning. Local police have sent tourists and guides to Pingdanda as there is no food and shelter in the landslide area. Local Umesh Gautam informed that efforts are being made to open the road by searching for excavators and machines.

According to him, efforts are being made to open the way under the leadership of Ward Office and Police Constable Dhanraj Tumbapo. A group of 30/35 people including 15 foreign tourists are on the way. Landslides have brought Yamfudin and Khewang Auzau to a standstill.
