Mulghat-Chimsuwa road section of Dhankuta has been blocked since Sunday evening due to heavy rains. After the closure of the road connecting Dhankuta municipality-9 to Bhojpur and Udaipur district Triveni, the life of that area has been affected.

According to the police, the road was blocked due to a landslide in Sirsire. Small and big vehicles have stopped on the road since 6 pm. As a result, passengers traveling to Bhojpur and Udaipur via Chimsuwa, Saptingtar, Gopalpur, Ghangru, Triveni are affected.

The police said that it was difficult to use the excavator to remove the soil piled up on the road due to rain and excessive mud. District Traffic Police Chief Manoj Khadga informed that the road will be opened from Monday morning.

Locals complain that there is no alternative road in that section of the road. Lately, the road has become in poor condition due to the transportation of limestone from Sahidbhoomi to Mulghat.
