A house was gutted due to a fire due to an electrical short in Musaharnia toll of Chaudandigarhi Municipality-9 Hadia in Udaipur.
A fire broke out in the house of local Sovit Khatri with a wooden and tin roof on Tuesday evening.
Chief Inspector Bobin Rai of Ela Police Office Beltar said that the fire caused damage to Khatri's house including Annapat, Gargahana, Vadavartan and other items.
The victim, Khatri, complained that after the fire broke out in the kitchen of the house, the gas cylinder exploded and he could not take out the furniture, household goods, etc. in the house.
As soon as the information about the fire started came, even the fire brigade in Beltar of Chaudandigarhi Municipality, Prakash Raut said that the flood of Triyuga river washed away the road along with the Hryumpipe, so it was not able to reach in time and there was a great loss.
Due to unseasonal flood in Triyuga River, the direct traffic between Hadia Beltar has been stopped. He said that after the collapse of the temporary road built over the Triyuga river, the house was completely destroyed because it took time for the municipal fire brigade to reach Hadia via Fattepur in Saptari.
A family of 10 including Sobit Khatri and his brother Mohan Khatri were living in the house where the fire broke out.
