In Kepilasgarhi rural municipality, a rural women's new enterprise establishment and subsidy program has been conducted. The program was conducted with the aim of increasing the income of the poor and low income earners within the rural municipality. According to Sameer Rai, President of Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality, an agreement was signed between entrepreneurs, Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality and G Foundation for grants under this program on Tuesday.
The program was conducted with the financial and technical support of G Foundation. Abhini Dixit, information officer of G Foundation, said that in the initial phase, 15 people, 11 women and 4 men, will be selected to increase their income. Dixit said that the selected entrepreneurs have also registered their firms in the rural municipality. Dixit has stated that based on the demand of the shortlisted entrepreneurs, according to the business plan, insufficient amount of capital will be subsidized. The grant will be provided in three installments. According to the senior program manager of G Foundation, Shyam Nepal, the program has been conducted with the goal of increasing the income of farmers by 300 percent within the next two years.
