One person died due to beating in Thapre located in Ward No. 3 of Solukhumbu's Solududhakunda Municipality. District Police Office Solukhumbu said that 52-year-old Nwang Sherpa was beaten up by his neighbor during a dispute over firewood.
In the incident, there was a fight between 52-year-old Nwang Sherpa, who lives in Pikepokh, and 46-year-old Pemba Tamang, who lives in Likhupike Rural Municipality-1 Goli. Ngwang Sherpa was found dead this morning after being beaten during a fight.
After receiving information about the incident, the team deployed from District Police Office Solukhumbu and Temporary Police Station Tamakhani arrested Pemba Tamang who was absconding after completing the legal process.
According to DSP Dwarika Prasad Ghimire, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Tamang has been further investigated by the Solukhumbu District Court with an extension of 10 days. The police said that they are continuing to investigate the incident.
