One person died and 13 others were injured when a passenger bus going from Dharan to Bhojpur met with an accident at Gothgaon in Dhankuta-6 at 10.30 am on Monday morning.
The police said that the passenger bus No. 1 B 2177 was out of control and the accident happened.
About 3 kilometers from Dhankuta market, the accident happened after falling about 50 meters from the road . The condition of four of the injured is said to be serious.
Police spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal informed that 73-year-old Krishna Kumari Rai Bhujel of Dhankuta Municipality-6 was the deceased. He died at 11:45 am during treatment at Dhankuta District Hospital.

Similarly, Purnamaya Tamang of Shadanand Municipality-11 of Bhojpur, Ayush Rai of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan Municipality-4 of Sunsari, Dhankumar Vick of Dhankuta Municipality-6, Lila Bahadur Shrestha of Bhojpur-11 and Dilgamaya Rai of Sangurigarhi-6 of Dhankuta have been reported by the police .
The injured are being treated at District Hospital and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
