Honoring nine couples who got married in an interracial marriage

Intercaste marriages have been honored in Khotehang Rural Municipality-9 Lichkiramche. In the program held on Tuesday, 9 couples who married inter-caste were honored.

According to Umesh Bishwakarma, joint secretary of Khotehang Rural Municipality of Nepal National Dalit Social Welfare Association, Kaluman Sarki-Anu Magar, Nain Bahadur Bishwakarma-Mina Tamang, Khagendra Bishwakarma-Maiya Magar, Prakash Nepali-Deepa Pradhan, Dipendra Nepali-Sirjana Phuyal, Bipin Nepali-Savina Rai, Vijay Vishwakarma-Mamta Rai, Vishal Rai-Preeti Bishwakarma and Yuvan Rai-Rita Pariyar are honored. The rate of Rs.2000 along with cash has been honored for letter and transportation expenses.


"9 couples who married inter-caste have been honoured," said Vishwakarma. Along with the honor, the organizer said that the training regarding the Racial Untouchability Crimes and Punishment Act 2068 was also given. Accountant and legal practitioner Milan Chahar gave the training.


The event was held with the financial support of Khotehang Rural Municipality under the chairmanship of Gopal Pariyar, President of Nepal National Dalit Social Welfare Association, Khotehang Rural Municipality, under the chief hospitality of Indra Bahadur Rai, Ward President of Ward No. 9 Lichkiramche.
