Due to the negligence of the Electricity Authority, a bull died due to electrocution in Dhankuta Municipality-2 Panchkanya. San Bahadur Thapa's bull called Krishna died.
According to Chandleral Tamang, Ward President of Ward No. 2, the grazing bull died on Tuesday after being electrocuted by a wire attached to an electric pole. Tamang said that there was damage worth 60,000 in the incident.
Head of Electricity Authority Dhankuta Roshan Kumar Singh said that the incident happened because the dilapidated pole could not be removed. He claims that the incident happened when the bull approached the pole and the current flowed. However, the locals said that both the bulls were electrocuted and died at the same time while they were grazing. Head of the office Singh said that the authority will give a total of 30,000 rupees compensation at the rate of 15,000 per head.
Ran Bahadur Magar's cattle had died earlier in that village due to the negligence of the authorities. The authority provided a compensation of 17 thousand rupees.
