On Wednesday (today), there will be a discussion about the obstruction in the Upper Tamor hydropower project. Village Chairman Rajan Limbu Mukti said that a discussion will be held between the people's representatives, the concern committee, the hydro power company and the protesting groups.

He informed that he will go to Mitlung for that. The discussion is going to be held in Mitlung, the place where the interruption occurred. It is said that the village president, vice president, ward president of the four related wards and other stakeholders have been called in the discussion.

After the black flag was raised against the company with slogans, the tunnel work has not been done here since Baisakh 3rd. Locals have formed a committee under the name of 'Upper Tamor Affected Struggle Committee' with Birbal Linkhim as the coordinator.

They sent a memorandum to the government on March 31 through the district administration office. After that, they reached the construction site and raised slogans and raised black flags. The Federal Limbuwan National Forum has also been added to the movement. On Tuesday, while submitting a memorandum to Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma, it is mentioned that there should be talks with the groups that have been protesting since 2062, including the local Bhoomiputra Limbu tribals.

In a statement signed by Adip Limbu Tawevung and Semi Limbu Yakthumwa, they have accused that the work has been increased without consulting the locals and that they are going to destroy the Limbu's shrine.

The Tamor Energy project led by Pushpajyoti Dhungana has increased the power generation process of 285 megawatts. This is also the country's biggest project to be produced by a private company.
