21 people were injured when a bus carrying teachers returning home from the protest overturned at Dudhe Milan Chowk in Shivasatakshi Municipality-9 of Jhapa on Saturday morning. 13 of them are teachers.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the passenger bus, which was going from Kathmandu to Kakadvitta, went out of control and overturned. According to the police, the condition of all the injured in the accident is normal.

The night bus numbered 1-01-001 B 4235 was uncontrollably overturned on the East-West highway around 5:30 in the morning. The injured have been admitted to Biandsi Hospital and Birta City Hospital in Birtamod for treatment.

According to local police office Jhilzhile, 9 injured people are being treated at Biandsi Hospital and 12 at Birta City Hospital. Most of the injured have injuries on the head and hands and feet.

38-year-old Mahendra Kandangwa, the driver of the bus, has been detained by the police.
