Bhotkhola road section under Koshi highway has been blocked. According to district police, the road was blocked due to a landslide in Makalu rural municipality-3 Alphatte at 6:30 am on Wednesday morning.
According to Ramkumar Lamichhane, Acting Chief of District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, after overnight rains, the Akua river washed away the unpaved road. Last year, the landslide at the same place swept away the concrete bridge of Akua River.
The police are currently preparing to remove the landslide that fell on the road. More than a dozen small and big vehicles are moving from Khandbari, the headquarters, to Bhotkhola every day.
