The driver was killed and the co-driver was seriously injured when a Bolero jeep met with an accident near Yangsila Chowk, Paktanglung Rural Municipality-5, Taplejung.

25-year-old Saroj Shrestha, a resident of Panchthar Fidim Municipality-3, who was injured in the accident, was taken to the basic health post at Tapethok for treatment and  District Police Office Taplejung informed that he had died when the health workers examined him. 

On Wednesday, May 1 Ch 5193 jeep number coming from Lelep towards Tapethok went out of control and fell down about 300 meters from the road. In the accident, the co-driver of Fidim municipality-3 Saujan Shrestha sustained a serious injury on his back. Taplejung Police Chief and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Rawal informed that he was sent to District Hospital Taplejung for further treatment after general treatment. 

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police team from Police Station Tapethok reached the spot and conducted the necessary investigation. According to the police, the incident site is about 3 km north of Tapethok police station.
