Paktanglung rural municipality and Fungling municipality will gather in the volleyball tournament

The schedule of the inter-municipal volleyball tournament to be held on the occasion of the Kanchenjunga Hirak Mahotsav has been announced. The opening match on Baisakh 3 will be between Paktanglung Rural Municipality and Fungling Municipality.

In the second match to be held on the same day, Mikwakhola and Sirijanga Rural Municipality will face each other, while the third match on the 4th will be between Sidingwa and Yangwarak Rural Municipality of Panchthar. Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality and Meringden Rural Municipality will play in the fourth match on this day. After this, there will be semi-final and final stage matches. 

On the occasion of the completion of the 70th year of climbing Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world, the competition was organized and sponsored by the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council. With the participation and partnership of the Council, Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Office, Samrudh Hill Project, etc., Hirak Mahotsav will be held in Paktanglung Rural Municipality-6 Lelep from May 5th to 7th.  Apart from Atharai Triveni and Maiwakhola of Taplejung, 7 teams and 8 teams of Yangwarak Rural Municipality of Panchthar are participating in the

competition. According to the District Volleyball Association, the competition will be played on the basis of knockout. 

According to Manakumar Limbu, Office Secretary of the Management Council, the winner will receive cash of 2 lakh 8 thousand and  The runner-up will get a trophy, medal and certificate along with 1 lakh 8 thousand. Limbu informed that a cash prize of 2,500 and category awards have been arranged for the man of the match. 

The best player will be awarded with 5000, the best defender, the best setter, the best blocker, the best server and the best quick will be awarded at the rate of 3500. The organizer estimates that 10 lakhs will be spent on the competition.
