The Koshi State Government is starting the Koshi Tourism Year from Wednesday targeting the year 2082. Vishal Ghimire, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Forests and Environment said that the tourism year is about to be launched with the main objective of laying the foundation stone for the development, prosperity and promotion of tourism in Koshi province. Preparations have been made to start the tourism year from the famous Tinjure Milke area of Tehrathum.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is said to inaugurate it, but since Oli did not come at the last moment, Deputy Prime Minister Prakashman Singh will inaugurate it. The chairman of the original organizing committee and the chief minister of Koshi province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, said that the year of tourism has started with the important goal of promoting tourism in Koshi province and achieving prosperity through the development of national capital through tourism. He expressed the hope that religious tourism is also possible in Koshi province and through this the province can be brought to prosperity.
The Koshi state government has also prepared stickers on tourist buses and vehicles at the checkpoints in preparation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, so as not to inconvenience the tourists coming from India . The government of Koshi province has prepared to avoid unnecessary hassles and check checks on the way after setting the date of arrival and departure of vehicles with such stickers.
In order to celebrate the year of tourism with grandeur, the work has been carried forward by forming a steering committee under the coordination of Minister of Tourism, Forests and Environment of Koshi Province, Sadanand Mandal. The Koshi state government has also mobilized tourism office Kakdvitta and Dharan for this task.
