A man from Udaipur was killed when a bus hit him at a place called Kharanga located in Manhari rural municipality-9 of Makwanpur under the East-West highway.

58-year-old Jit Bahadur Pradhan of Triyuga Municipality-2 Mothiyahi, who was returning home after receiving treatment from Kathmandu on Monday morning, died on the spot when he was hit by a bus No. 8 B 1809 coming from the opposite direction.

Bagmati PR 01-006 B 6716 Bus No. Pradhan was returning home when he was crossing the road to go to the toilet when he was hit by a bus coming from the opposite direction and he died on the spot, informed DSP Shyamu Aryal of Makwanpur.

He suffered severe head, chest and right leg injuries in the accident and was immediately taken to Hetaunda Hospital by the police team led by Police Deputy Inspector Arjun Prasad Devkota of Elaka Police Office Manhari, the relatives of the deceased said.

The body of the deceased has been kept in the same hospital for post-mortem. It is said that an investigation has been started regarding the control of Mohan Thapa, the driver of the bus that hit.
