Voting is being held today for the leadership selection of Panchthar Industry and Commerce Association. According to the agenda of the 13th General Assembly and Convention, voting is taking place from 9 am on Saturday.
A panel led by Narendra Prasad Adhikari from Kartaf, who are in the power alliance for the position of president of the union, is in the election competition, while businessmen close to the opposition parties have formed a panel under the leadership of Rekha Ingnam Lawati.
Chandra Kafle of the alliance has been elected unopposed for the post of general secretary. Six candidates have been nominated for the post of vice-president, four of whom will be elected. Voting for Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Member Padam is going on, Election Officer Sahman Bishwakarma said.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Baidya commented that the government is responsible for creating an investment-friendly environment along with the security of businessmen. In the opening session of the convention, the central members of the union, the presidents and officials of the neighboring districts along with the leaders of the active political parties in the district participated.
