Fire in Udaipur: One house burnt down, loss of Rs 99 lakh

A house has been gutted due to fire in Triyuga Municipality-15 Gurudham of Udaipur. On Sunday morning, the 2-storey house of local Mahavir Katwal was destroyed by a fire that started from a chicken farm.

SP Hariharnath Yogi, Chief of District Police Office, Udaipur, said that the two-storied house of Katuwal (one floor is paved and the upper floor has a tin roof made of wood) was completely burnt down due to the fire.

The fire that broke out from the chicken farm next to the house at 4 am was brought under control at 6 am with the help of locals. According to the police, 6 lakhs in cash, 5 tolas of gold, 5 tolas of silver, furniture,  Crops, utensils and clothes have been burnt and destroyed.

550 chickens in the chicken farm died in the fire. According to the police, the fire caused an estimated loss of Rs 99 lakh. The cause of the fire has not been revealed. There was no human loss from the fire.
