A woman who was seriously injured in a forest fire died during treatment. 47-year-old Ushakala Rai Nemwang of Fidim Municipality-13 was injured when she got caught in a forest fire in Jobari, Fidim Municipality-13 on Thursday afternoon.

DSP Kaushal Budhathoki informed that he died on the way on Friday morning while he was being taken to Kathmandu for treatment. According to him, Nemwang was taken to Sindhuli.  

Earlier on Thursday, 22-year-old Pratima Sambahamfe of Kummayak Rural Municipality-3 of Panchthar passed away while being taken for treatment.

28-year-old Sapna Samvahamfe, her 11-year-old daughter Siwana Samvahamfe and 60-year-old Nirmaya Samvahamfe, who were burnt in the same fire, are being treated at City Hospital in Biratnagar. Their condition is also serious. 31-year-old Khagendra Vishwakarma, a resident of Kummayak Rural Municipality-1, fell and was injured while extinguishing the fire in the pit. His condition is normal.
