UML protest meeting and rally at Dhankuta

CPN-UML has demonstrated a motorcycle rally in Dhankuta on Monday. The party said that it has protested against the regressive steps through a motorcycle rally.

 

UML Dhankuta secretary Parshuram Nepal said that the program was held as a protest against the move by saying that the supporters of the monarchy were doing chaotic activities in the name of the movement.

At 12:30 in the afternoon, the motorcycle rally started by gathering at Dhankuta Bus Park. In this process, around 600 motorcycles circled the market. The rally came from Dandagaon Bus Park, Hulaktol, Beach Bazaar, Bhimnarayan Chowk, Upper Kopche, Lower Kopche to Madanchowk and turned into a meeting. 

Speakers expressed views in favor of the defense of democracy and freedom of the press. Expressed outrage over the violence and loss of people's wealth in the name of royalty. Constituent Assembly member Tikaram Chemjong, UML district president Shiv Angla, State Assembly member Niran Rai, Indramani Parajuli and others led the rally.
