CPN-UML Propaganda and Publications Department Head Rajendra Prasad Gautam has said that former King Gyanendra Shah should take responsibility for the vandalism, attack on the media, murder and arson on Chait 15.
Addressing the awakening meeting for the strengthening of the democratic republic held on Monday at the Khandbari of the Sankhuwasabha, Gautam said that no one should go out beyond the border. He also asked former King Shah to contest the election.
'Purvaraja Shah has become an ordinary citizen since the republic came,' he said. He insisted that monarchy cannot be an alternative to republic. "The alternative to the republic is an advanced level republic," he said, "the parties should also move forward by correcting their shortcomings." He said that the RPP and other parties should understand that the king was removed from the constitution.
Gautam also said that a new government will not be formed with any other party before 084. He instructed the workers not to get confused as the power will be operated according to the agreement made with the Congress.
