Journalists from Panchthar have submitted a memorandum to the government demanding action against the killer of journalist Suresh Rajak, who was killed in Kathmandu while reporting on the movement of former king's supporters.

They also drew the attention of the government to guarantee the safety of journalists working at the workplace. Journalists gathered in association with the Panchthar branch of the Journalist Federation sent a memorandum to the government through the district administration office Panchthar.

They have demanded a judicial inquiry into the journalist's murder and take legal action against the culprits, arrest those who arson, stone-pelting and hurling at media outlets including Kantipur Television and Annapurna Post, and guarantee the safety of journalists at the workplace.

Journalists who gathered at Panchthar branch submitted a memorandum to the government through Assistant Chief District Officer Dik Prasad Dahal.

Understanding the memorandum, Dahal promised to send the demands of the journalists to the Cabinet and the Prime Minister's Office.
