The team of 'Icefall Doctor' who is making a way to climb the Kanchenjunga mountain is on its way to the base camp. With the start of the climbing season, nine Sherpas have been sent to prepare the way to climb Kanchenjunga.
It is led by Elite Expedition Company Kathmandu. This is an organization of people who have made records by climbing mountains. According to Mingma David Sherpa, the owner of
Elite, it is estimated that there will be up to 55 foreign climbers this season. "The climbers have coordinated with the company," said Mingma, "the exact number has not been determined as there is still time to get permission from the government." He said that including the climbers, the team including the Sherpas who will assist them in climbing, there will be around 100 people. Mingma informed that the team making the
road has reached Cheiram. Cheiram is at a height of 3,870 meters. They went towards it through Khewang, Yamphudin of Taplejung. The necessary equipment for climbing, including ropes, ladders, etc., is being prepared to be delivered by helicopter. Mingma said that the company has prepared to deliver the base camp from Kathmandu via Tapethok. The company estimates that it will cost between 9 million and 10 million to build the road. The mountain climbing company itself has sent Sherpas to build the road.
Making a road in the mountains is considered risky. Climbers go through the path made by the Sherpa team. They are holding the rope hanging here and climbing across the ladder . The height of Kanchenjunga Himal, the second highest mountain in Nepal and the third highest in the world, is 8,586 meters. Here there are three mountains above 8 thousand meters in one place .
