The ruling party Congress and UML have decided to go ahead together for the elections of Taplejung Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The district leaders of the two parties have also shared the posts. According to the agreement reached by UML Acting President Dipen Pomu and Congress Vice President Dilliraman Baral, UML will get a President, Senior Vice President, Second Vice President, General Secretary and eight members.

It has been agreed that the first, third vice-president, secretary, treasurer and 5 members of the Congress will get it. There is a provision to elect a president, three vice-presidents, general secretary, secretary, treasurer and 14 members in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A senior vice president and four elected members will be elected by the president.

The current treasurer Bikas Gautam is going to be the candidate for the president who is part of the UML. The current senior vice president, Dava Sherpa, has already registered his nomination for the presidency. Dawa is also the district co-ordinator of the National Independent Party. The

election is scheduled for the 16th. There are 634 voters in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
