Earlier, a complaint was also filed in the municipality that three cooperatives had embezzled more than 4.5 crores from around 100 savers. The organization has claimed that it has started refunding the money of the savers. Among the cooperative organizations that have received complaints, our agricultural cooperative in Dhankuta-6 has been found to have embezzled the most amount. According to the municipality, 40 million 29 lakhs 24 thousand 716 rupees of more than 60 savers of the organization have not been returned.

Similarly, a complaint has also been filed in the name of Lokendra Khadka, president of Samriddhi Savings and Loan Cooperative located in Dhankuta-6. The said organization has not returned the amount of 696 thousand 125 of 18 savers. It has been claimed that Ganesh Pokhrel, the chairman of Arun Consumer Cooperative in Dhankuta Municipality 1, embezzled the savings and property of the cooperative and used the savings himself to cause harm to the organization. A letter was sent to the police saying that the persons involved have misappropriated the money of savers by violating section 79 of the Cooperative Act of Dhankuta Municipality 2075.
