Dhankuta's veteran journalist Bishnuman Shrestha passed away at the age of 87. Shrestha, who was also the founder of the Dhankuta branch of the Nepal Journalist Federation, passed away on Friday.

Shrestha was the vice president during the establishment of the branch of the Federation in the year 2049. At that time, it is said that Shrestha was also working as the Dhankuta representative of the National News Committee for about two decades.

The family source said that he passed away while resting at home in an unwell condition recently. Meanwhile, the Dhankuta branch of the Nepal Journalist Federation expressed its condolence over Shrestha's death and issued a condolence statement.
